Dear CCA,

After years of buying and overbuying these pieces of paper with characters and pretty colors on them, it just isn't fun as it used to be. :(

So in order to offset this weird feeling I figured buying more expensive funny books would respark the old flame. Alas, this feeling is quickly diminishing also

My name is Nik M, now a part time and quickly diminishing CCA :sorry:

Dear CCA,

The check engine light is flashing on my 12 year old car. Instead of using the money to purchase parts for the car, or to use for a new car, I spent thousands of dollars in Heritage's auction...

I am currently walking to work in cold temperatures (I do live relatively close to work).

The phrase under my name on the boards has real meaning for me at the moment.

Dear CCA,

My name is joe...uh Frank and I am addicted to comics.

I still get the same euphoric high I had as a kid when I get new books, especially the ones that come in the toxic plastic case. I usually put the books that are in the plastic cases (I think they are referred to as slabs) and put them in a large paper bag.

I like to let them sit in the bag for a day or so so the fumes build up, I then inhale breathing in and out from the bag until all logic and reason go out the door. I start playing with the family budget, make half a mortgage payment so I can buy more "slabs" to fuel my addiction.

I like the blue ones better than the purple ones since the purple ones have strange side effects. I would buy the yellow ones but you have to wait in line for them and they cost more.

Dear CAA,

It's been ten minutes since I finished off working out a deal for some nice FF's

They are my kryptonite for lack of a better term.

I also started my registry set today. Not that many right now, but over the next couple of months they will increase substantially.

My name is Thomas & I'm strung out on comics

Dear CAC,

My fuel pump blew at Canadian Tire, and I almost abandoned my 19 year old car there and then. Alas, I pulled out my cr card and charged up $550 for the fuel pump, $148 for a new battery and $350 for new front brakes. My revelation was that I HAD to have a car to get to/from the regional comicons so I could horde more long boxes of funny books in my basement.

I am now REBORN!

Dear CAC,

Today was my Husband's Birthday and all the excitement of

watching him open his few gifts got me thinking. hm

With it being his Birthday and the good mood he was in I thought

it just might be a good idea to win a book on e-bay tonight. I was

nervously watching and pacing as the seconds ticked down

thinking should I throw in one more bid or gamble. Bingo the time

runs out and my addiction is fueled with a CGC 9.4 Spidey

Annual 7 heading my way after Nov.29th. :acclaim: I still have

to pay for it. :gossip:

Usually my purchases are followed by some form of argument

or snide remark, but this purchase was very well planned on my

part and he just said " No Probs" (thumbs u He's a good man. :cloud9:

My name is Fay and I'm an addict.
