Bronze-Age Spideys

Well, I have always been a raw only guy, I haven't seen these issues posted in a while, so I thought I'd get in on this. IMHO very little rocks harder than Bronze Spidey's. :headbang::cloud9:

The 135-137 Harry storyline, the 119-120 Hulk battle and the classic 121-122 death of Gwen storyline are my three favorite bronze Spidey runs.

The thing that I liked about the bronze age Spideys over today was the character developement. That's probably driven by the amount of word balloons used then as compared to today, but it's not like they couldn't use more today. But I think the artist then (Romita, Kane, primarily Andru) really knew how to capture expression in the face of the characters. It really added to believability.

Nice Comic!!! :applause: I was just about to turn 2 when this came out. Did you pick up a Sweet #129 the month before? Dont tell me you missed that issue...I hate stories like that!!!!

I started buying and keeping comics in 1972, and bought all the Marvel Superhero titles, some DCs and undergrounds. I still have my original ASM run from 110-166, and also from 232-269 (stopped buying in '76 and resumed in '81). They're not all NM, unfortunately, but they were read with respect and many are still in top shape.

Many are still raw:

I've slabbed some (old scanner):

The pic is there

I just see a red X. I see in the silver thread you are having the same issue. Not sure how it works that you can see them but others can't.

I also posted the two comics in the "Comic General" under "This week in your collection"

can you see it there?

I already got a post from someone saying they could see my scans.

Let me know,

John
