Yes they are bound. Very early eBay purchases. Got a bunch of them but I Wish I’d been able to get the entire run.

Scored these today in a trade with a local guy. Blinding colors! Don’t have time to go through my FH Jungle and Jumbo comics but these covers seem real familiar. Possible swipes?

I have a handful of very high grade Jungle pulps. Due to their traditional low values, now might be a good time to have some of them graded.

A nice tip I got from Darwin is when they have that little text box at the bottom of the cover, they're often recycled covers.  Looks like it's reused art from v2n5

It's driving me nuts I can't find another use of the figure here.  Last time I tracked one of Gross' Jungle bondage poses I found like 4 or 5 uses of it all flipped around and painted over in Jungle Stories alone.  Some of the body shapes you can track from Jungle to Lariat to North-West or wherever to Detective Book and then getting re-used in the funny books in Fight Comics, Wings, Jungle Comics, and on and on.  But I only saw this particular take just once and I looked in *a lot* of titles

The ones that get me are the Wings comics/pulps.  Bondage and airplanes together, really? FH really had a thing for tied up girls

It depends on the issue.  The 15 issues by Bruce Elliot are generally quite poorly regarded by Shadow fans, from the few I've read they can be pretty fun as pulp fiction but not necessarily great as Shadow stories specifically.  I mostly look for them for the John D. MacDonald backup stories... which can be longer than the Shadow story in some cases.

You've caught me in a bad spot here, I'd been looking at the covers and the illos.  I'm not really a fan of the stories but admit I need to give them a better chance (and hero pulps in general...)

Fantastic.  I love em both.  I was wondering looking through those digest covers which ones Modest Stein had done.  I noticed this one in a recent auction and thought it mighty strange:

Of course, I mostly know Stein from his Love Story covers which are very different from this stuff

I mean to go through all of The Shadow covers and pick out some favorites from the recent discussion on "classic" covers,  I know there's a good number I really like that aren't necessarily the "great" ones.

A few new ones. Not as happy with the grades stated vs. actual but they were reasonably priced. Maybe once people stop with the CGC markup, it might be worth buying a few.
