Just arrived. Looks way better in hand inasmuch as the picture shows up every little blemish. Very pleased with this. Love the sticker also giving it some provenance.

Nice grab. Love that issue. I’d love it a little more if that sticker was inside or the back cover at least…

Looks like the cover was used twice in this run, which really confused me to whether I had this issue or not 😄

You got the best one there (first use and minus the white box at the bottom, those white boxes are usually a sign of reprints on the FH who re-used a ton of covers across their titles in the later years). 

If you spend any time looking through the Jungle Stories covers, you'll start to see all sorts of over paints and self-swiping by George Gross, too.  Still, lots of absolutely classic figure work in there with babes and jungle men in all sorts of fantastic poses.

I was just wondering if this cover was reused on a FH comic!  😆  My favorite is the girl with the bow that was flipped for a Jungle cover.

I remembered that one as it's a favorite ... not a lot of detailed background, but a nice simple yet dynamic design. GOD BLESS ...

I have most of the tough issues of the Marvel run, but I kind of despaired for ever completing it because of the pesky Marvel Tales part of the run. Well, I got the December 1939, so only 1 to go

Woo! That Finlay is an incredible electric chair image.  I love the Ziff-Davis pulps, great fiction and they kind of had a separate group of artists (Chicagoans).

Nice copy!  It looks like Bloch gets the author profile (with photo) in the issue as well as the cover bump.

Cover artist is Robert Gibson Jones most famous for the "girl in dog's mouth" red cover, but I think this one might be a fave (and pardon me if I show different favorites each time).

This is my favorite take on the Red Circle logo, not my copy, but from a copy that sold at Heritage for 33 dollars in 2005.  It sold last year (eBay, maybe?) for much more
