I'll pound you to a "Pulp" if you don't show off yours!

Hi,

Actually the run is not high grade. There are the odd examples in the 1935-39 range in nice shape. Nothing in the early years is decent shape (fr-gd wih tape).

Dwight

I figured you would have the scoop on these. Was hoping you could add to your set. Not interested in the art? Is it b/c it was a much later non-published work and dare I say a little weaker?

I picked this up the other Day, its not a Pulp but it is definitly Pulp related since it was a self Published Amateur journanlism Pamphlet By Farnsworth Wright in 1904 called the Laurel. This was years before Weird Tales Began.

Farnsworth Wright for those not Familiar with Pulps was Highly instrumental in Pushing forward the Careers of H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E Howard among others as the most famous and influential editor of Weird Tales Magazine.

This is the only issue ever produced and I have never seen another copy.

Scanning in a few pulps I picked up and found this ad on the inside back cover for "The Outlaw." Before he we nuts, Howard Hughes knew how to promote the heck out of a movie. Makes me want to watch it all over again.

Dwight,

Love the ticket to see the show in NYC. I heard they did a nice performance for those lucky enough to attend.

Your Wecome!!

First Solomon Kane, and First Tennesse Williams!

Let me know how that first Published Tennesee Williams story is!

I started just reading it - I found the text online so I don't have to risk damaging my copy:

Vengence of Nitocris

His writing is a bit flowery but not bad I suppose considering he was apparently only 16 when he wrote this. The story is about a semi-mythical female pharaoh, Nitocris, mentioned in a passage in Herodotus. She takes revenge on her people after they killed her brother, the previous pharaoh. I'm just impressed that a 16 year old kid had already read Herodotus.
