Hopefully not , but these prices are stunning, at heritage at least Edited February 9 by Changer

That's awesome that you got one. Definitely a book I love and (against the odds) hope to own someday. Yeah. Not a coupon, but that big chunk of the lower front cover. I can live with that. "Just dropped $20K and won the highest graded copy of Saint #4... wait, guys, why is there a question mark next to Baker's name in the description???" It’s even worse for Canadians with our crappy exchange rate 🤷🏻♂️. Got into this hobby (for me) last summer - first purchase was a Baker TAR 33 - I’m addicted. I too have noticed prices steadily increasing - eBay and HA and others. Sometimes you get lucky and scoop low - but it’s becoming increasingly more difficult - even lower grades. Definitely have to pick your spots and be vigilant. I still haven't gotten anything high grade, but some are so scarce it's moot point. manetteska
I think we need a CL 25 HA auction to see where things are at. 😉 Point Five, Yorick and Changer 1

Maybe relative to St John romance, but I don't feel like you see this one up for sale that often. Underrated in my book still anyway as I think we may have come to a general agreement in casual discussion here that its Baker's first published cover. Also sorta cool that part of it was used for the cover of Art of Glamour. your correct, I should say more common in high grade than other Matt Bakers for some reason? but I love the colors on this one Edited February 10 by Changer
Popular Post Changer
who can resist this temptress?, he couldnt nor I. Love the colors on this one and presents well for the grade. At first, I thought this one too expensive to justify an upgrade , but than I saw all those recent sales of other Bakers lol. Anyone know who did the colors for his covers? was it also Matt? Popular Post Robot Man
I love those early Crowns! #1 has no Baker but what a great cover. I cracked it out of an 8.5 slab #3 no Baker cover but the cover subject matter really makes up for it. There are, however, 2 Baker stories inside. #4 I have upgraded twice. If not for that lr corner, it is a stunner. #5,6 have nice but not Baker’s best work. I can live with the condition. #7 is by far my favorite cover. Got a very decent copy in a trade for a lower grade Down with Crime #6. (The awsome GGA blue Sandman issue). This one is far and above the hardest Crown in my opinion.
