Is it too early to discuss San Diego Comicon 2009?

SDCC is 3 months away. Who's gonna step up to plan the forum dinner? My vote is to have it at the Hyatt. We had it there in 06, and it was great. (Plus, I'm staying there this year.) :)

I'm counting 5 nights and thinking 5 forum dinners. (shrug)

I'm referring to the main one on Saturday night.

How about that little place right behind the Manchester Grand Hyatt on the waterfront? It is a bit pricey, but the booze and food was great when I was there last year. Besides, I need someplace outside for the cigars I just got in from a little island just south of Florida.

I heard a little rumor that perhaps the man himself, Stan Lee, is having a meet and greet at the San Diego Con. Anyone know anything? Chandler, did you hear anything about this?

Joel

Well I can only say that plans are being made and details will be available mid June. So stay tuned TRUE BELIEVERS!!

ohhh your killing me man.

Brian, Sharon is the champ at handling our staff and running the table. But she stays away from the negotiating side of the business and leaves that to me.

I hope it's not considered spamming, as I'm not starting threads, but I didn't get a nibble in the Signature Room.

If anyone could, I'd love one of these little jewels. They should be at the IDW booth.

It's the key from Locke and Key, I'll gladly pay for it (duh) as well as postage, time, and effort.

PM me if you think you can help!

Peter Jackson is making his first appearance at comic con to promote the new movie District 9. I saw the trailer for District 9 before Wolverine and it looked really good... Peter says convention attendees will be in for “quite a ride,” but did not elaborate. Link to story below..

I was never a big LOTR fan but a cgc ss book from a 3 time Oscar winner would be awesome!

The article also mentions that Warner Brothers will have about 10 movies represented at the con, Summit Entertainment will bring the Twilight sequel, New Moon & James Cameron's Avatar may be there as well.

I would pay $$$ for this set from SDCC... I'd put them up on the shelf with my Blackest Night FCBD issue I'm getting SS graded by Geoff Johns :wishluck:

Soooo...now that the Con is sold out and I just found I have to burn some leave time around those dates...How hard is it to scrounge up tickets to this once they are sold out? Without paying an arm and a leg?

Somebody has to be that guy right? :acclaim:

You are in a tough spot Hero. The Comic-Con is not allowing transfers this year. I had an extra ticket and my only option was to return it for a refund. Perhaps there is a waiting list for tickets people will be returning. Otherwise, I do not know how people are expected to pick up tickets now.
