Sadly, didn't win it, but do have this Fugitoid page. Yep, that was me! Wish I still had it now.. Not sure where it went. That’s a pretty great Triceraton page you have. I know people say that sometimes keeping the books in a safe causes staple rust. I'd definitely defer to someone with more experience and I'd like to hear what others have to say, but just my experience with our safe is enough to make me shy away from an airtight case. You can use certain dehumidifiers to counteract this reaction, but it’s probably best to avoid the safe route altogether. I have the BCW plastic bins for the regular CGC sized books, but I have 6 or 7 oversized early Turtle books and want to keep them safe. I'm attaching a pic of a storage case I was thinking of getting for them. I'd appreciate your guys thoughts and / or insight. I use CGC sized comic boxes made out of cardboard, but eventually I’ll be switching over to a wooden drawer. While I don’t know specifically about an airtight plastic case, I don’t think I’d risk it without extensive testing on drek before storing expensive books. I have the same set of oversized comics I want to keep safe too. Mine are currently bagged/bordered in a top loader. The advice I’ve read is to avoid airtight safes/containers. Staples will rust and pages will warp. Not sure how feasible but I did read a suggestion to use the largest zip lock freezer bag types for protecting them. I’d puncture a couple small air holes in the bags though if I did that. It doesn’t look presentable but should keep them safe especially if moving house etc

Either do it yourself or have a professional air hole driller do it for you! Sounds silly but could work. Nothing too big, just enough so not airtight

Here are some of my favorite Fugitoid items from my collection (#5 OA page (gone, unfortunately), 1985 iron-on, Russian Fugitoid #1). Alas, Gobbledygook has always eluded me. That OA is one of my favourite pages. A key page! Awesome collection. I am guessing there are not so many Russian Fugitoid #1's? I initially won it for $100 in an Ebay auction in the early 2000s. I'm really not sure how many there are of the Russian Fugitoid.. but I've never seen it except for this copy. However I'm in the USA so they wouldn't exactly be on the newsstand here. sorrenmj

Besides staple rust and trapped humidity problems, an airtight container will seal in the acidic emissions that come from the cheap comic book paper over time. So the air around the comics will become acidic. sorrenmj

Gazoony
I have mixed feelings on Last Ronin. I really like it, but it feels rushed and the way some of the characters die feels dumb and lacks gravity to me. Still a fun read though, just wish it was going to be a 12 issue series so they could flesh it out more. sorrenmj
Icculus308win
Totally agree with 12 issues, could have added a lot more substance to the characters/past. But I will take this short run🏆 sorrenmj and Gazoony

sorrenmj
I have downloaded the comics but can only see 5 issues plus an extra directors cut version of issue 1. Is this the entire set?

Yes, because the concept of the Last Ronin is something that Kevin and Peter developed back in the 80's in the early days of the turtles. So while he doesn't have anything to do with the current 5 issue run by IDW, he was key in creating the concept decades ago, hence the credit. jaybuck43 and sorrenmj

Recently had my Raphael and #4 graded. Interestingly ..the number 4 I had put in a mylar and left in a standard comic box for 25+ years, not the safe, When I rediscovered it recently, I saw that my 10 year old self had crammed it into a too small very tight mylar and the top inch of the book was poking out of it unprotected. Apparently that ended up being a good way to store it as it came back a 9.6. Not the best copies I have or have had but the personal copies from when I grew up are the coolest to me. Still a great rate of return! Emotionally and other, Good for you keeping them all this time oakman29, szucchini and sorrenmj 2
