It IS really small though, it's about the size of my laptop in width and depth, it is slightly taller though, but doesn't take up that much room either

I know we're not supposed to post the competitions slabs in here but I blocked the logo so hopefully it's ok.

I'm beyond happy to add this to my collection. This book is literally impossible to find in a 9.8.

Nice! I actually have a soft spot for that book as it was my first exposure to Mirage TMNT when I was a kid. Goofy story and an awesome cover. What's not to love?

I still need #11, #13, and #28. 

I seriously thought the #16 would be the hardest to get. I feel very fortunate.

Yes, I'd have the entire main run, except for the #1 for first print. 

I'm also collecting just the main run and not all the reprints. I have a couple, but I got a good deal on those and not actively buying them.

Also putting it out there if anyone wants to help me get those last 3 issues, shoot me a DM. 😎🙏

Those 3 books are so tough to find in 9.8 condition, or acquire 9.8 slabbed.

Thank you! I read your registry about your journey in getting your TMNT run and all the people that helped you along the way. Epic!

I love the hunt and it's so much fun meeting people that also enjoy the Turtles and I'm very appreciative of the help along the way to getting this far with my run. Hopefully one day I can finish the run, but like you said those last few issues will be tough.

Thank-you, so much. “Journey” is a perfect word for it all. There was no way I could have completed my set without those individuals’ help and or generosity, no way.     
Without a doubt, the hunt/chase is such a big part of collecting. Possibly the biggest part. During the hunt though, pretty amazing what & who you can come across. Like you said, the relationships and friendships that can transpire, are pretty damnn neat. These Boards (Turtle Threads) can be a pretty kick arse place for this.    

You are almost at the end of your journey. Seriously, way closer than you give yourself credit for. Heck, you got #16 outta the way, that in itself is amazingly awesome!! Enjoy where you are and what you have. Imho #16 is possibly the hardest of the three. Best of luck with the remainder of your quest🤘

Finally got around to taking a photo of my complete set of Dark Horse TMNT Miniatures in all packaging variations. There are only 13 unique sets (14 if you include the original set, which had a different Leonardo sculpt), but a total of 24 packaging variations. Individually, they aren't very hard to track down. But finding them all took a few years.

Super cool to see them all this way.  I still need just a few of these to complete the full set but it's nice to know that some of them don't have "Dark Horse" package variations.

Does anybody know when Peter Laird’s last comic con or such appearance was? I’ve read a few times that Peter rarely attends these things and his signature is hard to comeby. So just curious if anyone knows the last possible venue/date? Thanks

He's retired from signing publicly now.  But he still does work with Steve Lavigne, so there's no real "last date".  I have signatures and sketches of his dated 2020 for instance.

As someone has said, he still signs privately, usually for personal friends.  As such, it's not crazy to see some of his signatures out there dated 2020 or 2021.

That said, I did see him at a very small show in New England back in July of 2018.  It was literally a series of 2-3 hotel ballrooms in a...Ramada (I think?).  As was the norm for Laird at the time, his appearance was announced only like a week before the 1-day show and it wasn't super widely publicized.  This meant that most people didn't hear about it until after it happened and even if they did hear about it, it was such short notice that getting there was an issue.  Jim Lawson and Steve Lavigne were also in attendance, though oddly enough they weren't sitting with Peter.  Peter had a corner table by himself.  I arrived at the show about 90 minutes after it opened and there was literally no one at his table (which is especially crazy considering what Kevin's lines look like these days). 

He was open to chatting a bit, signed a few items, and was selling some random sketches.

In his portfolio, he was selling some TMNT sketches done by his brother, Bruce.  It was too random to pass up:

 

In his free time, he was even knocking out a few full figure sketches and I was lucky enough to pick one up.  And it was my favorite turtle as well:

It would not surprise me to learn that he did another few shows after this.  Around this time, he was doing small shows around New England.  I know he appeared at a cartoonist convention and also did a small pottery show before this appearance...both announced on very short notice.  But this was the last one I'm aware of.  Anyone know of any later?
