Quoted for truth :sumo:

One extra reason to look forward to WW Chicago :acclaim:

Behave, she's the girlfriend of a good friend of mine ! Since the pics show three different outfits you obviously took a different pic each day. Looks like somebody was smitten. Well, I'm sure my friend would say you have good taste.

Bob, Hi I actually bought quite a bit of stuff at your friends booth but I forgot to ask for a business card. Do you know if he has an Ebay store or a website? He had some good stuff for great prices.

Thanks

Casey

He sells on eBay...I just can't remember his name right now.

He had a really nice selection of late Bronze and Copper..nothing spectacular, but definitely some HG run fillers. I think he must be somewhat local if Bob knows him and I also heard the blonde girl talking about living in or near Indiana.

The pictures are mixed into about 100 others. Your friend was set up right across from us so I was not necessarily going out of my way for a photo. However, she was a very nice young lady. We talked several time. She absolutely knew she was being ogled by the geeks. She even took pictures with several of them.

The funny thing is she wasn't just there for eye candy. During tear-down she and her friend were loading. I told her she had done enough work just having to deal with all the geeks.

Did anyone see Chris Ware at all? I ran all over mccormick for 3 days. never saw him.

I heard from Chandler that he showed up for one (1) panel on Friday, and immediately left when it was done. So much for being a "guest of honor" :screwy:

I've received 2 emails the last 2 days from GES (Global Experience Specialists) asking for me to fill out a survey on my experience at C2E2 in relation to the services they provided. This includes laborers to help me load in and out, $80/table rental, $44/chair rental, ($44 was the plastic chair, better chairs could be had but were more $) $350 wireless internet access. I only used the free laborers because it is mandatory. What a joke this place is! I know of one Memphis dealer that was hit with a $2500 charge to unload because it was determined his vehicle was to big. Big Mike had to argue over a $4k bill he received and he won.

On the plus side for McCormick it had a beautiful view of the Chicago skyline through the massive windows. These are also some of the same windows that let massive amounts of sunlight in during the late afternoon.

I have several gripes and complaints but I'm afraid to let them know as I don't want to suddenly get a bill for $2k because they just determined my van was larger than what is allowed for a personal vehicle.

The only way I would do this show next year at McCormick next year is if I had a small enough inventory that could be loaded in/out via leaving my vehicle in the parking garage.

Just venting a little...

When you have your confab on Tuesday, you guys need to seriously consider a change of venue. The location as it is now is not cost effective to attend. I felt more or less held hostage price wise.

It was excessively expensive to attend. Can't imagine the sales necessary to break even with these additional costs.

I'm gonna venture a guess here and say that the majority of the comic sellers at C2E2 probably lost money attending this show (which is probably what you're saying too).
