Then there's the curious case of the Cat #1.  With a publication date of November, 1972, it falls squarely into the picture frame era.  It has the framing at the top and left edge, but not along the bottom.  Most people exclude it as a bona fide picture frame Marvel, and it's not in the CGC picture frame Registry.

Publication dates November, 1972, two months before Marvel did away with the cover design going forward.

I certainly thought that Cat #1 was a picture frame book buying it when it first came out.  I realize you can argue it's not based on the missing bottom part, but that seems soft to me given that the universally accepted picture frame design doesn't have framing on the right edge.
