Ahh so that's where Marvel got the idea of the Hulk character from. Pretty cool.

but hulk was gray in his first appearance.

Yeah that's true.  I guess maybe later on they stole the idea of his clothing when he turned green lol

GRRR!  Inspired by a corpse in 1951!  Now that is the strangest tale!  We all know I was the result of a flash of genius in 1962.  Besides, I started out gray-skinned and prefer to be shirtless.  :nyah:

Well we'll never know the truth. On one hand the Zombie is nearly a dead ringer of the Hulk. On the other hand he first appeared grey with blue pants as alexgross stated. According to the official story they changed him to green because the colorer couldn't get the grey to be a consistent shade. But maybe that was just a way to divert attention. If he was green with purple pants and a white shirt on the cover of issue 1 people may have took note right away. We'll never know.

Great looking 5.0!  Sadly, too many copies of this book, even those with higher numbers on the label, have tons of issues along the spine including places that are obvious or at least possible examples of color touch removal.  The clean spine on this 5.0 makes it stand out.

I agree with the 2.0

As for of its worth sending in, if you are thinking about selling it, I would say yes.  Even in 2.0 it's a valuable book and a slabbed copy would command a premium over raw.

Of course there are the insane TATs and risk of damage to worry about.
