Well the "best" piece in my opinion is the wraparound cover of the monster and doctor in the lab. It is buried in a collection and will unlikely see the light of day (despite my best attempts at prying it loose).

I think a great plate with the same three elements (monster, doctor, lab scene) could hit 100K

This one is pretty spectacular ! :cloud9:

Man, that guy's collection is practically unbelievable. Very cool that the owner of all that OA is part of the CAF community and allows people to view the art he has.

I'm not sure he posts the art for purely altruistic reasons.

I helped Albert set up a gallery long before CGC. The key pieces have remained consistent and are part of his collection. Sure you can make an offer but like any collector that loves the art and doesn't NEED to sell the piece you'd better be ready to pay until it hurts.

I have "Donald Duck Sheriff of Bullet Valley" already listed. Do you know who auctioned the "She was Spangled and Flashy" painting? I can't find a reference to its sale online.

That awesome that 4 of the over 100K+ covers to sell are by Mcfarlane. :)

I can see the Ditko, Wrightson and John Romita Sr. fans now shaking their heads..

I don't see the big deal. I think any reasonable person would understand that part of the reason mcfarlane and miller (and I like those artists) have a lot of spots on the list is because their covers are actually available and have traded hands recently.

Kirby and Ditko well, their big covers don't exist or aren't for sale. Wrightson didn't do many covers where the subject matter ticks enough fanboy criteria boxes subject matter wise to get 100k+, and Romita, well, you can bet that the spidey 50 that traded hands wasn't cheap.

You could look at the prices of interiors for an apples to apples.
