Almost finished Justice League of America run by Steven Englehart. So far has been the most disappointing run I read this year. I don't understand why this run is so loved. I have one more issue to go. My favorite was the first story in 139 and the last one I just read 149.

Read The Incredibles series 1 thru 15 and Incredibles: Family Matters 1-4. Very fun read. (thumbs u I hope there is an Incredibles 2 movie, but until then at least we have a venue for exploring more of the Incredibles universe.

 

Read some classic comics, too... Iron Man 1 (love all of the sound effects), Iron Man 55 (great Thanos story), Disney Vacation Parade 1 (Barks goodness), Weird War 8 (Neal Adams goodness).

 

It was also time for my annual re-reading of Wimbledon Green.

 

 

Up to 1201 comics read this year.

I am not too sure if I can make it. I am thinking of breaking out my Cerebus phonebooks this week. hm I had taken them out in the fall this year to continue reading them but never got the chance.

 

Read:

 

Secrets of the Batcave - What a great collection of fun stories! Highly recommended. Only one was so-so.

 

DC Imaginary Stories vol 2 - The first half are stories comprised of Batman & Batwoman with Batman II and Robin II. Interesting premise, bad execution. The last two stories are my personal favorites and it was fun to re-read them in collected format. Still, a nice edition to read some Bruce Wayne stories.

 

Batman in the Forties - I enjoyed this collection. I admit to liking the back half more once I hit the Catwoman story but only because I had read a few of the previous tales. Plus I am a sucker for reading about the women in Bruce/Batman's life.

 

Loved the reprint books but one drawback was the lack of covers. The Batman in the ... books do print the covers with some text about the era but for me, I want the cover to be included before each story.

HOS 92 (I LOVE THIS STORY! One of my all time favorite books)

Punisher 1 thru 5 (limited series) Thought the covers were da' bomb when I was a kid and still dig 'em.
