Static 1 Platinum - $85

Static Shock 1 - $10

How did the static platinum variant work? How many copies did you have to buy to get a platinum variant?

 

It was a retailer incentive but I think every store got a copy. I dont

think it was based on your order. I could be wrong because

I had to 60 miles to get a Hardware platinum copy back then.

 

Maybe a retailer can come in and tell us. It seems the

Static platinum is a little harder to find then the Hardware

platinum as I have been buying both for over 2 years now.

Demand currently could be skewing that as well.

Its one of the few issues I have never found at conventions, stores, flea markets or anywhere. Its just freaking impossible to find.

Well if it sells then I would imagine you owe me.

 

I think your price might be a little high based on previous sales, but its your book and I am very envious especially if you found it at a store or convention.

Most runs I have found end at 39 for some reason sometimes 40. 41-45 are really in short supply. I would imagine if Hardware gets to that point the last issues are probably the same way.

A-Force 1 Nico BAM cover has sold well the last couple weeks....I'm down to my last 2 copies. I've bought almost all the local store had to offer.

 

I think that copy will hold up well value wise over time. Just a nice variant copy. It caught my attention and I don't order many variants.

That #1 has only one place to go.

No offence but that remake sucked balls. Uggg such a poor remake IMO.

 

this guy called it a remake.

 

Remake? Also, many have given it the best reviews of the year. blasphemous, but reviews are saying better than Avemgers. (I would change that, but I like my spelling.)

 

Maybe natevegas didn't actually see it?

 

Hands down my favorite film this year. Plenty of room for another movie to come along and wow me however.

 

If Mad Max is a mini-series, that kills the long term potential, no? So, that won't be a series you'll want to hold onto.

I guess it depends on how much condition matters to you. I bought a few direct from BAM and they arrived in horrific condition because they were thrown in a box without any packing materials and shifted around the whole trip. I sent those back and am much happier paying a little bit of a premium for higher grade copies that are packed and shipped securely.

Yeah the 1st series and the Alpha Flight books have come down. I would expect that.

 

What I was saying is the 2nd series is still selling well. 4 & 5 especially when and if you can find one. Disney is Disney which ensures sales usually.

So I was at my LCS today and talking about how Mad Max was selling high on Ebay. He asked me if I wanted him to order me some more copies. He said he could get me as many as I wanted.

 

Am I missing something here? Why are people paying so much when I can get them at cover price through a dealer?

maybe he's just assuming he can order them...make sure he orders the right one and don't believe it until you have them in hand.
