Geez, I had a set of those gold foil Dark Empire books for years, couldn't give 'em away. Actually, I probably DID end up giving them away.

Yes he was and so was Miles Morales in the next Spidey movie too. Some rumors hit some don't.

My understanding is that that was the plan, in the scene where the Scarlet Witch messes with the Avengers' heads, but ultimately Whedon changed it because it didn't fit with the rest of the movie.
