ygogolak
It's been a good book for years. She was in some video game and that book has never looked back since. I've yet to find one above an 8.0 in the wild though after looking for years.

FlyingDonut
A better indicator is to look at the completed raw ones. There's clearly a strong market for this book.

FineCollector
Richard Dragon is tough. I picked up a 1 and 5 on the cheap years ago, and haven't found many issues for sale to fill the rest of the run.

Maybe there's still a lot lurking in back issue bins or $1 bins?!?

Earlier this year, I found one at a small show in a dealer's bargain boxes. I think I paid about $2-3 for it. It's certainly nowhere near a 9.8 but still a nice pickup for that price. I like to pick up low grade copies just to read those stories, especially for titles that don't have TPB
The Less Blob
http://www.ebay.com/itm/STAR-WARS-1-1977-MARVEL-COMICS-/111920262309?hash=item1a0ef7aca5%3Ag%3AjbYAAOSwDuJW07z9&nma=true&si=r7XtBBwTcf%252BEXa3%252B7WPwul1lSMc%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 --- Yes, I know this is on the low end of recent sales, but I'm wondering if it is time to put my remaining SW 1s (and others from the Marvel series, including a lot of high grade copies from the last 2 years of the series) back into deep freeze until another movie comes out. I never go around to selling any of them last year other than a SW 1 here I think.
manetteska
Did you look at the condition of that SW #1? I think $46 isn't too shabby, considering.
The Less Blob
it seemed like similar mid-grade copies were doing a lot better a few months ago, but maybe i was imagining that
rjrjr
I might be wrong, but it seemed like all the activity with Star Wars #1 was in the CGC graded books last year. 9.4, 9.6, and 9.8 went up quickly. (And specifically 9.8.) Raw copies didn't see the same kind of movement. Edited March 11, 2016 by rjrjr
D84
My raw 9.0 went for only $62.01. http://www.ebay.com/itm/301887336786?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1559.l2649
divad
Miscut, dust shadow BC, but still a respectable copy - you would have done better with a BIN/BO . . . next time.
