This is a great place, but with a serious question, you get 10 foolish responses , people making fun of people, etc...and to finally get a real answer you have to scroll through page after page...Jesus, very annoying..

 

It's a combination of things. But mainly it's people who take some sort of weird pride in acting like a doosh towards their fellow man and people who're trying desperately to be clever.

 

(shrug)

 

And also people that are doing both.

 

And then there are those people who look down their noses at those attempting to be clever. As if their arrogant views about what they deem clever is the sole determinant.

 

Right. Maybe if people were more genuine towards each other and took pride in being kind instead of being an azz clown we wouldn't have to worry about it.

 

People are genuine towards each other. Look at all the personalities that are here. You can guess with a pretty good amount of accuracy which ones will react in any given situation. If that isn't genuine, I don't know what is.

 

And I'll take those who exhibit some humor any day over those who make arrogant judgments about that fact that some people are clever and some aren't.

 

I love good natured ribbing between pals and I'm a big fan of humor. It's just too bad the majority of the people here think they're a lot funnier than they actually are :baiting:

 

Humor is subjective. You or I might think a particular comment is funny or not. What's the point of throwing out dooshy comments about people "who think they are funnier than they really are" ?
