cmixer
Originally posted this on another board; but worth a look -- Went to a comic shop I only get to visit once or twice a year. They are never bagged, and usually the worst brands like Malibu. This particular trip i decided to give it 5 minutes of my attention; Only because i knew that Eternal Warrior 4 was heating up; and Valiant is what you would expect to find in boxes like these ... One book was already peeking out of the box a 1/2 inch; and i knew exactly what it was. It's probably been there 10 years. The cover was ripped & unattached. I bet this is the poorest copy on the planet. What do you do with such an issue? Cut it up & make custom trading cards? Without further ado ... The most heartbreaking $0.25 i have ever spent: . . . . . . . . . . . . . And in a new bag/board - -

spidrvacc
Alot of books I see coming down (spider qwen stuff, Morales, silk Ms Marvel etc but this is the one book I think has the staying power to be the Hulk 181, ASM 300 , NM 98 etc of the next 20 years. Just my opinion . Also oddly enough this is the one book , because its a kids book and cartoon ish looking that you can get for $1 as its still found in dollar bins etc. A majority of people have no clue this is a $1,500 book (in NM)

And still fewer 9.9s and 10.0s than Hulk #181, ASM #300, NM #98, etc. Looking at the census, there are only 45 fewer 9.8 SS NM #98s as there are BA #12s as a whole. Looking at other hot copper/modern keys like ASM #300 or NM #98 that is a very low amount.

That's under 7 copies per state in the USA and the rest of the world gets none. That's how my calculations justify your ton
