Who says Kee-Zar? That's stupid.

Indeed it is.

Correct pronunciation is Kay-Sar (As per Stan's comment on the opening splash page of X-Men 10)

And in response to Chris's comment - no, I'm not going as Ka-Zar this year

I'm going as Shanna

For the first time I have absolutely no plans for LSCC.

In previous years I had sig and sub lists as long as my arm but this year, I'm gonna take it easy and just trawl the long boxes.

I'm hoping to grab a few silver age X-Men as long as the price and grade is right.

Last year my favourite pick-ups were books I'd never planned on getting, I just stumbled upon them randomly and pulled the trigger.

Sweet bronze-age Marvels

Marvel Fanfare v2 #1

Champions #1

Eternals #1

Might be tempted to get some OA for my (Soon to be created) Man Cave and perhaps a sketch or two.

I have a set of the Champion being shipped over for me :whee:

And as for Silver age X-Men .... You and Gaz get in line - me first :sumo:

Looks like my early bird tickets might pay off by going to look at some early X-Men first before all other will be there.

No fighting, now. If Paul wants an X-Men 10, give him first refusal.

And I mean Paul / Stryfe, not me. I'm not having a Cal moment.

But, I wouldn't mind a copy, actually.

Exactly what Paul said (Ken-Paul, not Me-Paul)

Gonna be hunting down a nice # 10 in 8.5 or above. I already have my eye on one, but I'm gonna hold fire on it till after LSCC, just in case.

Just over a week to go...

My goal:

Got 4 artists lined up (6 blanks) and 2 more I might get to do some more blanks when I'm there. All to be CGC'ed

Hope to find at least one nice Fiction House book (with Firehair on the cover)

Hope to find at least one X-Men (around the nr. 100)

Hope to find a couple of mid grade Romance comics

Hope to find a couple of moderns to fill a couple of gaps in my modern runs

Buy at least one item that is unplanned! As like "that looks cool, I don't need it, but buy it anyway"

I nearly did that in the first year, I'm a big Star Trek fan and someone was selling a poster that showed all the different quadrants, where each race lived and where certain events in the timeline took place.

It was huge and it was one of those moments... should I buy it....???

It was cool but would have had no where to display it.

Always nice to see a collector interested in a wide range of comics from different Ages and genres.

Are CGC doing on-site grading?

You can get sig series books witnessed and subbed by Scott's Collectables and you can do standard subs through them or I would imagine that Nick (Flaming Telepath) will also accept regular subs.
