Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie thread for your reading pleasure

I remember intermissions for Gone with the Wind, Giant, Dr Zhivago, The Sand Pebbles, The Ten Commandments, and probably How the West Was Won and Ben Hur...I didn't see the latter two in the Theater, but the sheer length, scope and era suggest they would be reasonable candidates.

There were a ton of others, I'm sure...

Dial M for Murder had an intermission. I might give a hint why the 105 minute movie had one, but I wonder if any film buffs know as I'm watching the 3-D Blu Ray now.

I'm disappointed this thread did not get to 1000 pages yet

That happens with the R-rated release.

Is there any chance that the movie released in theaters already was a really early April Fool's day prank, and the R-Rated release will be a COMPLETELY different movie that's you know, actually good.

The early April Fool's Day prank was that you didn't realize that. ;)

The lack of Samuel Beckett fanboys in this thread is disturbing.

What does the protagonist from Quantum Leap have to do with this thread...?

lol

And henceforth, that line shall be referenced as 'THE BATMAN SLAM'.

come on... another week in theaters... i need to see it on the big screen!

Based on the weekend estimates just posted to Box Office Mojo, it could be around for a little while longer.

Somebody has to go back in time to change the future.

It looks to be safe next week.

I mean, I want to see Keanu & all, but I can't see that being a Kevin Hart-style blockbuster.

But then look for a massive drop-off the following week when Civil War arrives.

Watchmen was a prime example of how the theatrical cut should have been the directors cut... maybe this as well... I like Snyder's movies and how he handles them... the massive scope of some of the stories as well as how they are shot... he seems to give a about the material... and i get the run time issues... sorry rantrant over!
