Exactly that is why you have Apocalypse mutilate him and turn him into one of coolest X-men characters of all time.

 

A couple of friends of mine who are not comic books fans all said to me, "does this mean we finally get to see Archangel?"

 

 

I thought you were going to say he could show up to a casting call as a new villain they could borrow from Spider-Man.

Pestilence - Plague Kid

Famine - Sunfire (Was that Sunfire or Sunspot in DoFP?)

War - Warpath (haha)

Death - Wolverine (Do it!)

 

The four horseman are shown in the end scene with kid apocalypse, the plague kid is alive during the 70s. I doubt they make him immortal and into one of the four horseman, but I like the thinking behind the ability.

The thing with the DOFP 141 book though is that the cover is iconic. It is like GI Joe 21 where it is a book that other artists often pay homage to. I could easily see 141 maintaining part of the surge in value that it has enjoyed these last few months even after the hype has died down.

Wolvie actually was Death at one point. Same with Gambit. And Sunfire, etc.

I believe in the Age of Apocalypse timeline he became ruler after Apocalypse was defeated. Correct me if I'm wrong...but this was depicted in Remender's run on Uncanny X-Force
