Another BB 105?! That's 4 in about 2 months.

And I'm pretty sure I've seen that particular copy before...

I hate to see it go. Sold a 4.5 on boards a couple years ago and didn’t see another copy come to market for a long time - but last few months they have come out - guess others besides me need some cash(shrug)

Well, looks like it's currently going for $1,100 or $1,320 with the Heritage BP juice in there, as I had just posted on the Heritage thread here.  (thumbsu

Certainly best of luck to you on these L.B. Cole Blue Bolt books and will definitely be watching to see where they finish up at by the time it's all said and done. :wishluck:

Thank you. Never know where auctions will close but I get the sense there will be some deals to be had today. Only time will tell though.

Those figures will be left in the dust come auction close... check GPA for BB #105. A *1.0* would most likely sell for more than that.

Looks like you was pretty much bang on as the Blue Bolt 105 finished up at $3,360 which is pretty much touching on 10X condition guide value. (thumbsu

Nice! With the disclaimer that any BB 105 is a great one, this copy was slightly compromised by those odd scratches on the spine and the cover greens looking a bit soft. I'd be pleased with that price.  (thumbsu

Looks like @comicjack was correct and you did just fine as these 6 Blue Bolts finished up at $9,300 which probably meant no real deals to be had today, except possibly for the BB 106 which finished up at only $600.  :)

I thought that one with the si-fi cover would have ridden in on the coattails of the BB 105 with the classic si-fi cover which finished up at $3,360, but then maybe the bidders who had missed out on the 105 was keeping their powder dry for the later L.B. Cole horror cover issues.  :luhv:  (shrug)

Yep, all solid results. I still need #106 and #111 for my Blue Bolt run... I'll probably regret not going after these copies, but the timing just wasn't there for me.

Yep, I think you will, especially with respect to the BB 106 since it presented so nicely relative to its CGC 3.5 grade and at only $600 to boot.  :luhv:

The Blue Bolt 111 with the classic L.B. Cole cover didn't present quite as nicely relative to its CGC 2.5 grade, but probably reasonable at $720.  (thumbsu

I am a fan of BB 106 but that issue, for whatever reason, seems practically common relative to the other Cole covers in the run, which I believe keeps the price somewhat depressed.

The BB 105 result seems soft to me. I sold a 2.5 for nearly double the hammer price of the 3.0 less than a year ago.

The Contact 12 result also seems light to me. I wonder if the simultaneously ending 2.0 on ebay resulted in both copies sucking the juice out of each other.

I'm thinking we have to many choices to pick from and only so much cash. The tax man is looming around the corner and we have to be picky

More fun to watch...

I don't get why the BB #105 gets that much $.  Sure, the green chick is there but that cover isn't 3x as good as the #106 or the #108 - especially with the spine logo.  However I'll admit I'm just a collector that doesn't have a 105, so I'm a bit biased.  ;)  But then I look at the auctions above and remember that I have better copies of all of them that I got years ago and I feel better....

I have nothing to go on except anecdotal auction results (from various ages) and my own limited selling, but it *feels* like the purse strings have been tightened recently.

I was lucky enough to win the BB #105 and I agree with everything that has been said about it.

I'm pretty shocked at the final price.  There were only 2 bids after it went live, a cut bid and then my follow up.  Considering the most recent previous sales that I know of (7.5 $15.6K, 4.0 $7.9K, 4.0 $6.7K, 1.8 $2.6, and one with a missing centerfold on ebay for $1800) I think this one somehow slipped through the cracks.

The colors do seem a bit muted, and it has those "scratches," but the main part of the image seems to be in pretty nice shape.  Personally, I love this cover, I feel it is very dynamic.

Hey, that's great. Congrats!  :applause:

I'm a big fan of this cover as well.  (thumbsu

Congrats!  As someone who just broke the bank on a Catman #28 I know what you are feeling.  Be on the lookout for that package!  Enjoy!!!

Not terrible results, but I'd say hammers were softer than I anticipated - financial markets being down and Russian invasion probably aren't helping, plus a number of other factors.  You win some, you lose some.  Congrats to winners.

Some more nice LB Coles coming up in a couple weeks:

Wish I would have known you were selling. I think we messaged each other a few times when I was looking for Cole stuff.

Good luck!
