Is it just me or is that a rough 7.0?

I don't know, you think it's rough? It's got nice color, spine may look closer to a 6.0 than 7.0.  Nice corners. I'd say perfect wrap, and it's very clean. Back cover is as white as a white sail on a dusky sea.......and that's really white. White pages also. It's the R H stamp on the yellow rocket I find really distracting. Hard to tell if that affected the price as there aren't many recent sales in this grade range to compare it to. There are 7 -7.0's and 5 7.5's out there. I'm waiting for a 5.0 to 6.0 to come around before I go broke buying other stuff.

Let's compare these two (albeit these are low-res images and just the front cover); both are mainly black covers from the same era.

Love the colors of that sunset and her walking fingertips.

The Stork imprint, though?  What a turnoff - who needs to be reminded of the consequences of impetuous hot lovin'?

I sent this one on it's way last week, not a great copy but a great cover

I've got one in nice shape up this week (in my world), though maybe not nice enough for how you freaks roll around here :Rocket:

Not the greatest Cole but a nice first issue:

It's an interesting market.   He did so many comics, people let some of the unremarkable ones go by and then pounce on even beater copies of better ones.  Just putting some Cole up for a few weeks has fetched me about 5 different eBayers asking if I'm holding Mask Comics (I'm not, but I wish I was!)  We goldenage scanners still haven't been able to lay hands on even a coverless copy of Mask 1.

Great books!  I saw your sale of that Pop 15 - it did really well!  (also - loved the description!) I just sent mine in to get graded, along with my copy of TTLR #8(1).  That is a book that never pops up.  It took me forever to find!  A few of his romance covers are really far under the radar.  I think there's only 5 of that one on the census, and that's a pretty nice copy you've got there!

A few good LB Cole auctions last night (anyone win any???).  Nice to see this book get some love.  HA had it as a VG with some tape at the top & bottom spine corners.  I thought this was a pretty strong result, but overdue for this book.  If you haven't seen one, it's a huge book with a square spine:

Ugh. I just sold a 7.0 for much less than that.

I wasn't tracking that one. Yeah that's really high. it's great that Heritage gets so many hard to find books but on the other hand they rarely go cheap or even close to cheap.

Scarce and rare seems to be the thing from what i have been seeing in the market

Yeah man you're right about that. We have been seeing that a lot with the early DC's and many of the other early publishers. When the scarce or scarce to market come around there is usually a battle over it. I guess it's always been that way but now more than ever I think.  Good example from a few days ago.

And I bet you have this one

It's been awhile since I rolled the dice on an ebay gamble. This book came from a 0-feedbacker, seemingly determined to keep that status by shipping this in a bubble envelope with no protection (after promising a sturdy padded box). (shrug) Nevertheless,

To be fair to the seller, I feel much better about the choice of packaging now that I found *this* written under the mailing label. You can't make this stuff up!
