There were also two paperback Avon Fantasy Readers in the 60's, but they only reprint material that was in the earlier run.  I may still track them down on general principles, they have some nice Gray Morrow covers.

I sold most of my Elric paperbacks because I later bought a hardcover collection from White Wolf.  I kind of regret it now because the paperbacks had nice artwork from Michael Whelan.

To be fair, some of these copies have moved on but I was cleaning out my phone pics yesterday and saved them because they look cool. I always try to take a group shot when I get a new one in.

Just in 3 more copies of Avon Fantasy Reader. I must admit I went for a bit more quality for these early issues. These 3 issues mark my half way mark in obtaining the entire run.

This is the last of the books that I have in the Ballantine series and a few weren't technically in it.  Lin Carter stated in Imaginary Worlds that they would have been under the Unicorn's Head they were just published before the series started.

Won a nice small lot of digests, been getting harder to do lately.

I don't collect these monthly digests per se but saw MacDonald and thought of @OtherEric right away. Great cover by Kirberger.

I've figured out over the last 24 hours that this Mercury Mystery #33 digest, the only vintage  paperback edition of Black Mask star Frederick Nebel's 3rd and last novel, is pretty scarce and costly. George Salter cover.

I'm usually crying on here about never finding anything "in the wild", and, while not a bookstore or garage sale, I found an old time collector near me who is starting to unload and he has a LOT of vintage paperbacks and is asking very reasonable prices. I walked out of there today with a near complete set of the Bantam Frederic Browns that I didn't already have and they were quite nice!

This cover is hilarious. I love how '50s PB publishers reduced the entirety of literature down to a singular, tawdry aesthetic: "Good Girl Art." Every cover -- every author -- every genre -- every era.
