I was contemplating a trip out there this week to see the exhibit and noticed there was an event Saturday June 2 at 5pm- Gloria Stoll Karn and the Women of Pulps I saddled up, drove 2+ hours Saturday afternoon, got to the museum about an hour before the event and got to enjoy the exhibit plus have a quick snack on the outdoor patio. I was (more than) pleased to hear that there was a surprise guest at the event- Gloria Stoll Karn! Saunders focused on eight women illustrators, had some very interesting information about all of them and then Gloria got up and answered a few questions herself. I got a chance to talk with her, David Saunders, met Craig Yoe and the pulp collector who had started PulpGallery.com. I'm glad I went!
