I don't think many people realize how big Mr. Tawny is in Shazam lore.

Like there was a Black Adam connection and how at one time Mr. Tawny came close to having his own comic strip.

I see Groot potential in Mr. Tawny.

Coincidinks?  I thought it was unique Grace Fulton was holding up a copy of Shazam! issue #7 last December, now I recognize exceptionally clever movie teaser marketing. 

Billy and The Shazam Family PLUS Mr. Tawny... I'm buying a ticket to see this movie guaranteed!

Good question, now that Mary is no longer Billy's lost sister she's reverted to her original adopted name of Mary Bromfield in the story arc.  Early on either Crowley or Binder and Swayze promoted her as "The Shazam Girl."  As an iconic character respectfully she'll always remain Mary Marvel in my classicist mind.

Kudos to the Costume Designer Leah Butler for the throwback Captain Marvel Jr. Blue and touch of Cape Red in Jack Dylan's character wardrobe.  It's adhering to the nuances of The Marvel Family source material like this that makes for an entertaining movie. Nice.
