Forbush-Man Posted May 14, 2015 Share Posted May 14, 2015 I thought it looked great, not crazy about Jimmy Olsen as a black man, but they only throw that in there so people won't complain about an all white cast. I think the show will be a big hit. I will predict it will have higher ratings than Arrow or Flash. Why? It has a built in audience. As much as we like Flash and Arrow we will find Supergirl is much more popular than them with mainstream. It's going to have a built-in female audience.....and plenty of guys watching it too. Kara has been pronounced both ways in film and animation throughout the years. "CAR-a" is the British pronunciation of Cara/Kara. Don't forget, she is an alien after all... 1. - Really? I have never ever heard "Car-a" when referring to Kara-Zor-El. 2. That would be great if this was on BBC.... 1. The best example is Supergirl (1984), the Argo City scenes. However half the cast are British! (Helen Slater ) 2. This show would be too expensive for the BBC! Maybe we'll see a Dr Who/Supergirl crossover. That'll be 60 minutes of pure "CAR-a"... "CAR-a"... But at the same time I liked some of the later stuff in the trailer. I think Limitless TV show looked much better, but I will watch both. I'll give it a chance. Batman Posted May 15, 2015 Share Posted May 15, 2015 I wouldn't say embarrassing but it does feel a little uncomfortable in places, particularly during the nerdy moments. I'm sure it's just down to MB finding her feet in a new role. Most pilots seem to suffer from this (IMO). After a few episodes, MB will have settled in and things will seem a lot smoother. The important thing is we get to see the exploits of Supergirl! And let's face it, the acting in Supergirl (1984) wasn't the best and that's the greatest Supergirl movie ever made...
