Secret Santa found my wheelhouse! :whee:

Thank you Jon! (Smithdatura) The Two-Gun 57 and FF are especially knockouts! That 2 gun really classes up my Kirby westerns! Officially the nicest comic-related x-mas gift I've ever received!

:foryou:

Hope I was able to add some Kirby stuff that you didn't already have to the collection, Jack! :foryou:

I've been travelling and will only get to my P.O. Box on the weekend to finally get my my SS gift... Can't wait!

Hope everyone had and is having a great holiday!!!

I don't think I had the Atlas, but even if I did, the OFF and the 2Gun were such upgrades that you dropped my jaw. I hope you get stuff you like as well as I like mine!

P.S. Comicdonna, that OA is amazing!

I would like to send out a huge thanks to maloney414. If there was a rating higher than 5 stars, that's what Dave would get for his nice gifts. He also took the time to write me a page and a half, explaining each gift, and why he chose them. Check it out!

Thanks for the gifts! :headbang:

My pleasure. "Cool covers" were on your want list. It was either these or a DC Silver Age hard cover. I hope I made the right choice  , I can get the hardcover if the Sternko's aren't to your liking...or if you have them.

This was my first time participating in the Secret Santa. I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I was very vague in my want list categories. My requests were "Marvel Silver/Bronze or 50's sea covers specifically sharks". My Secret Santa 00comics came through in style. Thank you very much 00comics!!!

My Secret Santa was Boboset and he nailed it! I mentioned that I like Ninja Turtles & G.I Joe and he did an absolutely amazing job! :headbang:

There were so many great things to open that I really felt like a kid on Christmas! :ohnoez:

The Ninja Turtles book is a hardcover that reprints the original movie adaptions and includes lots of extra stuff. It's something I have really wanted ever since it came out and the detail is impressive in person.

The G.I. Joe book is volume 4 of the complete collection series. I have the first 3 volumes so I can't wait to get into this one.

He also included a really cool G.I Joe 25th anniversary figure. It's Matt Trakker from M.A.S.K. as an advanced vehicle specialist.

And that's not all, I also got some original ninja turtles trading cards that will make sweet book-markers, some cool little lego figures and 2 g.i. joe micro force mini's.

Boboset really went above and beyond! I feel very lucky to have gotten such an amazing secret santa and really appreciate all the time and effort he put into it. (worship)

Huge thanks to Boboset and best wishes to him and all the boardies for a very happy new year!

Mike :)

Thanks Mike! I'm very happy that you liked everything! Wonderful write up, it put a huge smile on my face! Thank you!

You have to open those Lego knockoffs. They're so bad they're good. Batman looks like a reject Power Ranger and Wolverine is bald.

Have a great New Year's Mike!

Hi Ryan! :hi:

Everything really was great!

I opened those "Lego" figures and I agree, they are so bad that they are good! lol The little "Transformers" were the "worst". lol

I am hoping to get that TMNT book signed and sketched by Kevin Eastman in March so I will show you pics if I can make that happen!

Thanks again! :)

As I mentioned earlier, skypinkblu was my Secret Santa.

I had asked for stuff that was good to read, and she was incredibly generous and bought me 5 trade paperbacks.

Recommended by one of her friends, they turned out to be pretty darned good choices.

East of West

Y: The last man

Saga

The Manhattan Projects

100 Bullets

I had read some of Y before so I didn't pick that one up immediately. I had never read any of the others. I started with 100 Bullets, which was pretty interesting and well done. I would likely buy the 2nd volume if it ever came on sale.

Next one I read was East of West. It was enjoyable, but I probably wouldn't buy the second volume.

After that I took on the Manhattan Projects. I did enjoy this one and it kept my attention pretty well. I actually tried to buy the 2nd and 3rd volumes, but the store only had part 3, so I held back.

Hands down, the most gripping story was Saga. I couldn't put this book down. Some of the subject matter was a tad obscene, but it's all part of this really, really well-written story. After I finished the first trade, I was so very thirsty for more. I searched all over Montreal and grabbed volumes 2, 3, and 4. I finished them all the next day. Amazing stuff! :applause:

Sharon also was so kind and bought a gift for each of my boys, Patrick and Logan. The transformers that she bought them were a huge hit. They've been playing with them and take them everywhere. (thumbs u

I received another present from her a few days after the first two arrived. Inside was a box of Turtles. I mean, who doesn't love Turtles? (shrug)

There was also another trade paperback on the Korvac Saga. I've never read this and am really looking forward to it. :whee:

Thanks for everything, Sharon! So very kind of you. :luhv:
