Stunning. Keep an eye on Adventure 260. A CGC 4.0 sold for $286 last month so it's following a similar trajectory as Showcase 30.

I would love to see a "trajectory" on this book. I have been looking for a halfway presentable copy at any price for the past three months and not one has made it to market.

This book may be too "rare" for speculative fever to ever reach it - you can't have a headlining sale if no book is ever sold.

Just took a look at Ebay and yeah the pickings are very slim. Nothing on there that isn't falling apart!

Wich one is more important ,Adventure 260 or Showcase 30?

I would think Showcase 30

I've spent time studying both books and I think they are equals: Adventure 260 is the first Silver Age Aquaman because Arthur Curry is revealed as the son of Tom Curry, a lighthouse keeper who falls for an Atlantean. This origin story is retold in Showcase 30 which is published about 15 months later. Showcase 30 is Aquaman's first full-length book, although not his own title. That's why I think both are important, but neither book has an edge over the other.

I've been waiting to see the jump on these after the Jason Mamoa picture released. Anyone notice anything yet?

I'm watching with interest to see just how high a new GPA record is set by the Aquaman #1 Pacific Coast 9.4 in the current Comiclink auction.

My guess is it will blow the previous record ($7995) out of the water.

EDIT: Closed at $11,250

Cap # 109 is selling at above Overstreet, raw, in any grade.

Prices are scattered though but I think this book is a h'yuuuge sleeper, on the basis that it is Cap & Bucky's 1st fully detailed SA origin........with the last Cap movie hinting at Cap and the Winter Soldier's origin.....and the Winter Solidier starting to regain his memory, common sense indicates that the origin of cap/Bucky(Winter Solider) will be explored more in Civil War.....a bit of insight also reveals that this book will rise exponentially more, in relation to Avengers 4 and Cap 100, as the current sales on this book are muuuuuuch lower than Avengers 4 or Cap 100.

... ..here is a raw VG/FN that comics4less sold for $76 in December:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Captain-America-109-Origin-issue-VG-Fine-Cond-/141506936189?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item20f2787d7d

I have a raw FN (pressed) copy up now , read the auction description (and the 10 or so shots of interior story art) which show how under appreciated this book still is, regarding its' "silver age key" status.

Have a look at my description, I dare anyone to tell me I don't know how to artfully describe a book ;)

I give ad comics 260 edge over sh 30. Only 90 cgc copies and more important story. I think both will do well but adventure 260 could be a real steal in a year.

I dont even want to open my S30 because i dont want to damage it so i dont know about the stories . Ad 260 is so hard to find that i would be happy if i find a 3.5 or even a 3.0 . The good thing about S30 is that Aquaman is on the cover

I've found that any Flash book -- not just keys -- are doing very well for me. It's always nice to see DCs selling well (other than Batman), as they're a distant second to Marvel in the Silver Age.

My local shop has rearranged their wall of silver age books to have 90% Flash now. I'm not sure how well they're moving, but the shop is definitely trying.

If I had 20 Amazing Spider-Mans and 20 Flashes of same era/price, I'd like sell the Spideys faster.

But it used to be that I would sell all 20 Spider-Mans and 0 Flashes, and now it's 20 to 8 or 9. I don't know how long it's going to last, but it's nice to see.

Now if only we can get a Jimmy Olsen Netflix show...

Do you guys think Amazing Spider-man #1 will get a bump once Spidey enters the Marvel Movie U? I just picked up a 5.0 about a week ago. I had 85% of the money saved when the announcement came out that Sony and Marvel are working together and I was freaking out trying to pick up a copy before more news came out. I get that AF #15 is a larger key but I kind of expect a bump on Amazing #1 after Spideys first MU movie appearance. Anyone else feeling along these lines?
