LOGAN Storyboards

Mangold shared two storyboards from the film, both drawn by the talented Gabriel Hardman (Invisible Republic, Kinski). The first shows Logan lunging towards a moving car with claws out and ready. The news is not good for the driver, as the second storyboard shows Logan's hand coming through the windshield. Hopefully, the driver had some decent comprehensive and collision coverage.

The tone of the film is set to be much darker than previous outings, as it takes inspiration from the popular Mark Millar and Steve McNiven storyline Old Man Logan. The film is set in the year 2024, and features a Wolverine who's powers are not what they used to be. The world is not a kind place, especially towards mutants, whose births are rare for an unknown reason. Logan is also caring for a much older and struggling Charles Xavier, who's powers are also diminishing at a rapid pace.

WOLVERINE 3: Here's When Logan's X-23 Will Be Revealed

Checking the account daily, we became aware of a certain pattern. The images always post at the same time each day. Specifically, they post at 10:23 AM ET. It isn’t unusual for this kind of corporate marketing plan to employ this kind of timed precision, but 10:23 seems like too oddly specific a time to be simply randomly chosen.

It turns out it may not be random at all. Consider that the Roman number for 10 is X. Now replace that in the time designation and you’re left with X:23. Or, X-23, Wolverine’s teenage, female clone who is rumored to make her cinematic debut in Logan.

This may be more than just a sneaky Easter egg. The 10:23 pattern applies to the time these images will be released, but this coming Sunday is also Oct. 23, or 10/23 numerically. That means the date would also be X-23, and that seems like too good of an opportunity for 20th Century Fox to pass up.

I did not catch that.

WOLVERONE 3: First Look At Stephen Merchant As Caliban In Logan

Director James Mangold has released a photo of his own. Mangold's tweet offers the first look at Stephen Merchant as Caliban in Logan.

If Caliban looks somewhat familiar, it is probably because he appeared in X-Men: Apocalypse as well, though - in true X-Men movies fashion - he was played by a different actor, Tómas Lemarquis.

And there is the Reavers confirmation.

The Reavers were originally introduced to the Marvel Universe in the 1980s, during the X-Men’s “Outback era.” The Reavers were cyborg thugs who had taken control of a small town in the outback. The group was comprised primarily of Skullbuster, Pretty Boy, and Bonebreaker.

When the X-Men arrived in the Australia, they drove the Reavers out of town and used the now abandoned settlement as their new base of operations.

Donald Pierce, who will by played by Richard Holbrook in Logan, came to lead the group and added Macon and Reese, two Hellfire Club guards who had been badly wounded by Wolverine in a prior confrontation, to the Reaver’s roster. The group returned to their former home in Australia ready to battle the X-Men but found Wolverine alone. They beat Logan badly, crucified him, and left him to die in the wilderness.

I hated the Reavers story arc. That is is the reason I dropped Uncanny back in the day. You went from a solid story line to solid story line for a few years and then dropped to that filler . Why they would waste time with them on the big screen baffles me.
