And of course, it's hard to post Everett AMF books without showing this one again, the Church copy of v2#5. I can't help myself!

Books like this make you realize how "pretty" these comics must have seemed to a 1939-era ten year old! Think of a whole newsstand covered with these things! Each only 10 cents!

Again Centaurman... (worship)

Books like these though, were pretty much the exception to the rule. For every fine cover like this one, there were five run of the mill covers and four poorly drawn covers. That's one of the reasons why we prize cover like this.

Speaking of Bill Everett covers, I thought I'd use this chance to try to post an image under the new format.

This baby just came in from Heritage (along with two other FUNNY PAGES)... and while not on par with the quantity and quality of books we have been seeing of Centaurman's collection, I'm still pretty proud to own this one:

AMAZING MYSTERY FUNNIES 2/3 (CGC 7.0 before I cracked it out)

Beautious colors , two Bill Everett stories, and NICE, NICE light pages!! Its a keeper, folks!

Ryan glad to see that your cracking those books out, they don't belong in slabbs very long.

centaurs are the only books I leave raw, or crack and don't resub...they are meant to be continuously enjoyed...Timely and DC, if I buy raw, I read, then slab...if I buy slab, I crack, read, then reslab (might even press one or 2 in the near future)....but not centaurs
