I like how it says "by special arrangement with X-Men magazine" as if it would have been a major negotiation for Stan to make that happen. I guess it was a marketing trick.

The Essential Iron Man Vol. 1 has a reproduction, at the back of the book, of the original lettering of the cover to TOS #48. The character was originally constructed as Mister Pain. Essentials posits that the Comic Code Authority may have rejected the original name.

My greatest appreaciation for TOS is that due to the hype of the Iron Man Movie I was able to trade these copies at WWLA for copies of FOUR COLORS
