Let me chime in with the others from the same seller...  (EDIT:  Not the same seller as the #5, but all four of these were the same seller.)

I guess there was a #40 in there too...

Vampi #36 $949.95

Vampi #37 $999.95

Vampi #39 $799.95

Vampi #40 $999.95

I never saw the #38, if there was one, but sheesh...

And I gotta tellya, I don't think my copies of some of these look a whole lot worse than these slabbed copies that are flying off the shelves at a grand apiece.  Can you tell which of these just sold for $950, and which one of these is mine?

EDIT:  I think my Vampi #5 looks every bit as good as the #5 sold above, too.  It seems wacky to me.

Can't believe his Vampi 2 in 9.4 at under 800 is still available.  That's a steal for sure:flipbait:

Vampirella 2 has always been the less appreciated book.  I think it's because the cover isn't that awesome and it's sandwiched between 1 and 3 which have traditionally been viewed as the big keys of the run.

I still have faith that Number 2 will eventually see its comeuppance!!!!

I would have loved to pick up that 36. It’s up there with my top few covers. 9.8 as well- these issues seem tough to find in these grades. Great for both the buyer and seller.

Well, I don't see myself ever selling or slabbing my Warrens, but if these prices seem reasonable NOW, I hope y'all are here in a decade or two when my stepkids are giving you the first crack at them in liquidating my assets.

Even trying for a lower grade run, the 36 is elusive.  It’s definitely got some extra heat compared to other issues around it.

19 is also proving scarce in my experience.

Didn’t win it- but nice looking book

That is a beauty for sure!  But I won't belabor that being that it looked like it got away from you.  Instead I'll share what my Dad told me when my 10th grade crush broke my heart..."There are plenty more hot fish in the sea...and they're all in college...go to college."

What I'm trying to say is, you'll nab your hot Psycho #1 soon enough. :headbang:

Fortunately I found a very nice 36 already. 19 looks to be very difficult to find with a nice white cover as I haven't found one yet through casual channels so I may have to dig deeper (thumbsu

Thanks, Matt! Hopefully, a boardie snagged it.

It was cool to see a couple books I wanted side by side in the auction.

That Vampi cover you hauled in is gorgeous--one of my personal favs.  Any Vampi 11 in the Auctions tonight?  Wait, better not tell me...to think I missed out, I'd be swallowing sadness

Is this thread for record LOWS, too?

Imagine getting 5 slabbed CREEPYs (9.2, 9.0, 9.0, 9.0, 9.0) for a total of $55.  How much did it cost to slab comics in 2005?  Merry Christmas, somebody...

I don’t recognize the format, but if those are Heritage results, figure in the $29 minimum fee on each one along with sales tax and shipping.

It’s also amazing the amount of money thrown away each year by people grading things they will lose money on in the end. Big dreams I suppose.
