Spot-on Jim. The early 70s was such a great jumping-in point for the medium.

So sad!  He will be missed by many.  I got the chance to get a couple signatures and shake his hand at Baltimore a couple years ago and he seemed very down to earth and friendly.

I never knew or met the man, but I admired his work from afar, and it's a beautiful thing that he leaves something of himself behind forever, which few of us get to do. 

A timely reminder to cherish your friends and family while you can.

Rest peacefully, my unknown friend.

Bernie was great. Was he a 'legend'? Well he deserves to be called so IMO. He helped to inject freshness into the comic book horror genre. His work will stand the test of time for sure. Terrible news. Sad day.
