Maybe she's having a secret affair with Phoenix and avoids all conversations regarding his work.

she had an affair with one of the Guns and Roses guys when we were dating so yeah, could be.

Critic Consensus posted now, and tally is 70% FRESH.

Looks like they took away the "certified fresh" rating again.  It likely won't get it back unless/until it gets back to at least 75%.

I can't think of another time where something like this has happened on such a "high profile" film.

To say it is a coincidence this avalanche of ROTTEN reactions occurred in one whole day upon a 79% FRESH rating would be ignoring reality.

Critics falsely quoting tragic history, taking issue with Phillips personally for statements about woke society, ridiculing Phoenix's acting including suggesting starting a GoFundMe to get him acting lessons. Nuts!

there's no prayer this gets back to 75; and the Metacritic score of 59 isn't even at recommended level. would scare away the casual viewer but the casual viewer was never going to see this anyway.

What's the deal with the large discrepancy between RT and Metacritic on this ?

Read the reviews for yourself. The negatives and neutrals talk to Joker inspiring incels to commit violence and disrespecting women. Starting with the Times Magazine critic that kicked it off on there.

fairly typical, the RT is a yes/no toggle, the Metacritic is an actual average of critical scores. and there goes the RT below 70.  must've been something in the water in Venice.

There WAS a fitting preview before the movie started......  Doctor Sleep......

Man I don't even want to give adjectives, as this movie is a mental exercise

It's an exercise it futility that some find successful , at least in the movie, which doesn't translate to real world thought processes; which, translate to some in the real world "taking offense" rather than just pointing IT out lol that the joker is irrational, while the joker does feel he is rational.... oye

Of course people in the real world don't act like the Joker, but that the media "fear some will" really speaks to the mindset towards those with disabilities. "Rather than speak to the need to love and help those", it comes from fear and the "police need to speak out" lol???  idk it is fear on both sides.... people with disabilities seeing this rationally will feel this puts "THEM in a bad light" as serious those in the media are taking it......

basically the media is so removed from helping those with disabilities that rather than offering help it comes from a place of fear....

Those with disabilities themselves will see this and not want to "get help" because of the perception they themselves will be seen as
