I know absolutely nothing about about Canadian comics and I am trying to identify these two (which I received in a lot of a couple of dozen 1937/8/9 US funnies comics. Does anyone have any info about these and are they worth anything? Thanks in advance. NB I don't know why they are out of sequence, that is not how I posted them but it should be easy enough to match the fc with the bc.

I've found out from a FB group, and from matching the comic page by page in the GCD that the King Comics issue has the internal pages from King Comics 18 (US) with an amended cover from King Comics 9 (US).
The Home Comics (has the to the same ads from Dave Mackay, Philadelphia) also uses the internal pages from a US King Comic with a new cover.
Possibly these were intended to get round the Canadian ban on US imports during this time. The internal covers are blank.

I am currently working on a book of covers from the Canadian war time comics along the lines of Gerber's Photo Journals of American Golden Age Comics. I've managed to source out 97% of these covers and obtained hi-def scans of them. Some members of these boards have already helped me out. I still need 16 hi def scans of covers to complete this project. I am asking if members might have copies of any of these books that they might be able to scan at 300 dpi and share the scan with me for my project. Here is a list of the covers I still need:

Grand Slam Comics Vol. 2 No. 3

Grand Slam Comics Vol. 3 No. 7

Lucky Comics No. 33

Robin Hood Comics Vol. 1 No. 4

Rocket Comics Vol. 4 No. 30

Spy Smasher Vol. 1 No. 5

Spy Smasher Vol. 2 No. 2

Spy Smasher Vol. 2 No. 5

Spy Smasher Vol. 2 No. 6

Spy Smasher Vol. 2 No. 8

Spy Smasher Vol. 4 No. 11

Three Aces Comics Vol. 1 No. 11

Three Aces Comics Vol. 3 No. 2

Three Ring Comics No. 2

Whiz Comics Vol. 1 No. 2

Jinx Comics (coverless) nn

Hoping some of you can help.

Hi Ivan

Got a copy of Grand Slam V3_7 that I scanned (9MB) I'm going to attach to this post if it lets me.

If its too big to attach we can meet up soon and give it to you in person.

I have an image of The Jinx from from the 2019 sale but you probably have that one already.

Let me look at the rest of this list and see if I have more.

The other one I picked up is "Mandrake The Magician" #55 by Export Publishing.

Every page seems to contain a single Mandrake full page comic strip. This book was horribly manufactured with the top staple perfectly aligned and the lower staple in the off to the right. With a bonus staple found on the back of the book 😅

Only other picture I could find was a US Print of this book with completely different coloring which I've also attached to see
