Being presented with the Spider-Girl image, I would not have been able to identify the Spider-Man image.  No way.

You can actually look up Joel Thingvall (the comic art collector, not the actor who has appeared in several super-hero movies).

I actually reached out to Joel Thingvall, the comic art collector, and as it turns out, he is also Joel Thingvall, movie actor.  

He said he actually toured Ross's studio back in the day which was at his home in Arverne, NY.  Joel also said he met Mike Esposito as well.

Very, very cool.

Obviously not Ross Andru Amazing Spider-Man, but check out this DC Special Series No. 26 Superman and His Incredible Fortress of Solitude splash by Ross Andru and Romeo Tanghal (who's work I am very unfamiliar with).

Those backgrounds are classic Ross.  If this wasn't Metropolis, I would say, well there's the Queensboro Bridge, and FDR Drive, and even Madison Square Garden.  

Really love this page.

Just looking at your post sv.  Made me think It was a mistake selling most of my Superman books.  Remembering all of Dru's covers.  Like This cover.  Which came first?  Superman? Spiderman? No cheating

Well, since I remember no 60 cent Spider-Man covers drawn by Ross, I will say Spider-Man came before Superman.
