There are things that make the film funny, but they don’t make the film good. Too often, Love and Thunder feels like a series of skits, peppered with cameos by actors from Waititi’s other projects.

disagree, because at least Dr Strange 2 is rewatchable. Love and Thunder I will never view again.

good point.  also america in the film was nothing like the execrable racist america in the comics.

I'm going to come to the man's defense (albeit, hesitantly)...

- What We Do In The Shadows (I even love the FX show...hilarious)

- JoJo Rabbit (great/weird movie)

- Ragnarok (Changed the direction of Thor and saved it)

 

***Prior to this misstep I've heard nothing but (mostly) positives about him

all of those are fabulous. JoJo was very emotional especially when Scarlett was found hanging dead.

Thor Love and Thunder is a different creation.

You've hated this character for years.  Is there a chance that, maybe, it's not written for you?  

But also, she was so poorly written and acted in DS2.

DS2 was easily better than The Eternals. DS2 has some redeeming qualities, scenes, etc. I was f***ing bored out of my mind with Eternals, and I have mentioned before that the only 'cool' part of that movie was the Celestials.

Saved it? I mean, he directed an entertaining movie, but he also butchered most of the mythology and material that he used, including the main character himself. "Saved" isn't the word that I would use. I long for the Thor of his first 2 movies.
