Here's a Heath cover for you, Scrooge. I know it's not a war book, but I'll get to them soon.

Amd I'll be popcorn.gif for your War books.

Those were a great pair of Spellbounds. It is refreshing to see Heath draw the female figure and he does a great job. While the Everett cover is more in your face, upon closer inspection, I much prefer the Heath cover.

Any one has an idea of the ID of the art for the Tiger's Claws story I posted. I know there isn't much to go by from just that splash but in case some one knew ...

893applaud-thumb.gif Great Spellbounds AtlasT!

I always likes that grinning skull guy on the # 14.

BTW I got the ST # 15 off Comiclink.

Yeah, the scarf adds the "touch of class" for the sartorially arrayed skeleton. 27_laughing.gif

That's a very tight skirt on the gal. She'd have to take very tiny steps.

I've been puzzling over the art -- which I like -- especially the splashy tiger, but I'm not seeing enough for me to be confident. I know I should know who it is. Preliminary guess is Andru/Esposito. Can you provide another page.

I can't argue against that true statement. Yet, it's the fold on the pants on the normal guy on the Everett cover that, to me, is blah. Feels like his right knee-cap is out of joint / place.

The Andru / Esposito guess sounds good. I had checked who did the art duties on earlier issues of the title. While Joe Sinnott provided most of the stories in issues # 1 and 2, Andru / Esposito worked on issue # 3; but, alas, I have never seen (or don't remember) their work so I couldn't tell. That said, odds are you're correct. Here's the next page -

Should I venture to say that the right-most panel of the middle-tier would be the one that should give the clue that is indeed Andru / Esposito? Seems in that panel the main character's face would be the give-away.

What's the deal with the window pattern?

There are circles with bars running straight up and down, yet in the middle right panel the shadow they cast behind the man are at an angle.

I may need Ze-Man to explain this to me.

You have mastered your lessons well, young grasshopper. Definitely Andru/Espo for the reason you cite. The Tiger background to the splash page was quite unusual, but then DC artists usually operated with a freer hand at Atlas and often produced more interesting work.
