Another couple of mid to lower grade recent pick ups.

Here's a rejection postcard I picked up many years ago, from Weird Tales and its sister pulp, Detective Tales.  It was from Edwin Baird, listed as the editor of both pulps, so has to date from 1923 or early 1924.  On the reverse he's written a brief note, and initialed it.  The postcard was sent to Mr. L.B. Pride of Culver City, California.  As far as I can tell, Pride never had anything published, but I have a number of rejection slips from various publishers that he collected during the 1920's.

I've now changed my answer for why more Pulps didn't survive from "crappy paper" to "silly humans". 😂

A couple in today.  The list of Lovecraft pulps I don't have that I can afford is rapidly diminishing... but it's not zero yet.  This has a four page poem, Alethia Phrikodes.

More interesting is this one.  I think the cover actually illustrates the Lovecraft poem, and is a previously unnoticed Lovecraft pulp cover- and the only one on Weird Tales under his own name on the US edition.  My argument is over in the Lovecraft thread, but I would love to hear more people chime in, either for or against.  I would particularly appreciate the opinion of @Bookeryand @RedFury, but the more the merrier.
