Man I'm on business day 33 or 34 of my Economy order still in scheduled for grading. I've tried to reach out to CGC on IG and even sent a support ticket message and no response. I feel like I'm getting well beyond the 20 business day turnaround time and it hasn't changed or increased, should I call them? CGC used to be super fast and it seems like my turnaround times get longer and longer with each new order....

I would say calling is the best way to get an answer. Sometimes you have to hold 5 or 10min to get an agent, but then you get an answer instead of an IG dm or email you have no idea got read.

I reached out to CGC through their support email and did get a response - basically just saying that the order status reflected is accurate and my order is in queue for grading. They did say that the turnaround times are of course not guaranteed. I think the way they have each service tier listed on the website is definitely misleading. I can get over the fact that it's not a guarantee, but blowing by the quoted TAT by over 30% on an Economy submission (and nearly DOUBLE with others) is just... pretty bad.

CGC - I'm willing to bet that the majority of us have no problem with patience. What we have a problem with is radio silence. I haven't heard a single thing until I had to reach out to your company via three different methods. Acknowledging delays with quoted TAT estimates is literally customer service 101 - particularly when you've already charged your customer for the service. Many times people spend thousands of dollars grading on a single submission. Just a bit shocking for the sticker price of grading.

Yea at least in the past when my orders have taken longer they also would update the turnaround times to reflect that and it usually would finish on those new times. But it's been sitting at around 20 business days for a while now and hasn't changed or increased so that's why I'm wondering what's going on.

It's funny reading these message boards and seeing the disfunction CGC still had going for themselves.

You guys have it made compared to a few years ago when CGC trading cards first started booming. TAT times for bulk went from 30 days to over 365 days with in like 2 weeks of the boom AND they took payment once you click submit. CGC says TAT should reflect on the day they received your package, which has always been a lie. They use the phrase the fastest TAT in the business just to pull in anyone willing to spend $ to grade cards... Once you shipped your cards to them, there is nothing you can do at that point because they won't cancel your submission or send it back. They will grade your cards and hold them for ransom until you pay up.

So it's best to just move on with your lives and get a surprise in the mail one day once they ship your cards back and take it as a life lesson.

Thanks for keeping me entertained. Lul

I currently have an Economy Order that was received on 2/28/24. It still shows Scheduled for grading and we are on business day 28. I called Customer support and was told they are super behind. Economy is more like 30-35 days and they've asked the Card Submission team to adjust the TAT to reflect this.

Similar boat for me, The Economy order of 8 cards was received on 2/28/24, and a day later Scheduled for Grading, however, the status moved yesterday, 4/8/24 to Grading, Encapsulation, and Imaging. I will update this thread with a status update if anything changes.

Edit: It is now April 10, and the status changed to "Quality Control / Finalized"

Also, I didn't call them to nudge them to grade or anything like that, I'm just waiting it out like many people are, but, good on you for being proactive and calling so they can adjust the TAT.

I'm glad yours has made it through! Hopefully mine starts to move soon since we had the same receive dates. Yea my phone call wasn't to nudge exactly it was more like hey, I see this order is pretty over the expected TAT. Is there anything blocking this from going forward like a payment hold etc?

Economy (6 cards - incl. 1 error designation)
Received 3/1/24
Scheduled for Grading 3/12/24

Economy (5 cards)
Received 3/15/24
Scheduled for Grading 3/21/24

Economy (5 cards)
Received 3/29/24

Error type was added today for the first order, but still in Scheduled for Grading status. So they've at least started looking at it. Hopefully grades will be popping soon!

Economy Order of 8 cards received - 2/28/24

Scheduled for Grading - 2/29/24

Grading, Encapsulation, and Imaging - 4/8/24

Quality Control / Finalized / Shipped - 4/10/24

Good luck peeps!

I will keep calling and messaging at day 21. I realize the TATs are an estimate, but missing them for basically every Economy order in this thread is terrible customer service. Especially when you are at 30+ days. Revise the TAT if you can't meet it.

Only reason I keep using them is they are more lax on their GEM MINT 10s, so you can throw them cards that are between a 9 and 10 at PSA. Those 10s don't get PSA 10 prices, but they do get more than PSA 9s. Also, the pristine 10s for some cards are worth it. Other than that, CGC has lost their edge to PSA, especially since PSA is now consistently BEATING their stated TATs by weeks.

Just statusing here. Order still shows "Scheduled for Grading". That would put this submission (Economy) on biz day 29.

I also had a submission go QC/F on a Saturday. I actually called customer service today because, go figure, I'm scheduled to be out of town later this week. Wanted to see about upgrading return shipping time. Spoke with a nice gentleman who checked on the order and told me it was in the mix of being done, which I took as likely being done today.

Went back to check status just now and it shows shipped! Restating for all.

Economy Order (14 cards)
Sent: 2/26
Marked Received: 3/1
Scheduled for Grading: 3/12
QC/F: 4/13 (skipped grading step altogether on tracker)
Shipped: 4/15

I have a few others still being worked on so will continue to update as these progress.

They must've been doing some catch-up over the weekend. First order is now QC/F.
