I'm going to just ignore Cap and focus on Cable here:

Why does he have spatulas for fingers (left arm)?

Is holding both a knife and the gun with his left arm, or is the knife part of the gun?

What's the deal with the thumb on his right hand? Shouldn't that be flat up against it, supporting the flat part of the gun? Right now, he's just poking it. That would allow the gun to jiggle around a bit.

Is the front of the gun cut at an angle? Cuz the gun is pointed at an almost right angle to the viewer.

It's the shortest bayonet possible.  If you get stabbed, it's just the tip.

Hmmmmm hm

That's a good question.

I would think of it like transform transformers...... But I'm sure there is a more comic meaning

flat fingers possibly as the result of someone takin sledgehammer to em.
sorry to see his thumb has lost the distal phalange.  Could also be from previous sledgehammer incident.

that tiny bayonet looks like something one would pull out of a...pouch.

Its always best to draw Cap with his eyes 6 inches apart.  good peripheral vision for pouch laden opponents.

Yup.

Mutant - born with a mutation that gives them a super-powered ability.

Mutate - born in the normal range but later encountered an agent which caused a mutation, gene alteration and a superpower, eg Hulk, FF, Spider-Man.

Yup. Also, if you go back as far as World War One and earlier, the armed forces figured out that the bayonet should be attached to the end of the rifle, but it appears that the designers of a very advanced rifle, sorry, BFG, from the far future are oblivious to this and would prefer to make it as difficult as possible for the user.

Perfectly acceptable if you’re attempting to survive an onslaught from waves of extra-dimensional hell demons, but excessive use of force in the real world.
