Plus judging by that pose, what exactly is Cable doing? I sure can't tell. The Cable/ Hodge portion of the cover is lifted directly from the artwork inside the issue. It's not a good look, agreed, but it's not Ben and was never meant to be. Also I think 16 looks rather good, same with number 7 (he was covering his face because Wolverine clawed it up in a feral rage, using the original helmet Kirby designed for him, so I thought it was a nice homage) but that's irrelevant. How did the artist (Bogdanove wasn't it?) think just Jean and Logan was enough for a cover against Jim Lee's detailed covers for the same crossover? I'd love to know the story there.
