That's so cool. Congrats

Thanks I wanted a Green Goblin cover so this one fit the bill. I did bid healthy on all of them that did not have brittle pages, but others must have really wanted them as well.

If that was a comic connect auction it would have been the signature pieces with a lot more publicity,  Outside of the AF 15 and the ASM 14 I thought the Ditko pieces pieces were next in line--also one of a kind

The Goldin CGC 8.5 white page copy was the one I used to own . Came from the Saginaw collection which was auctioned on ebay by Sparkle City.

Was the bottom edge indented when you owned it or is this new SCS damage?  Or as others have stated could be a reflection from the holder .

There are a couple instances of "possible" damage on high dollar books in this auction ,hopefully that small tear on the back cover of the SC4 was already there, but that is not a reflection

The front cover looks smudgey on the 8.5. Is this just the scan??

I agree and while I was disappointed a couple more went outside of what I planned, I was happy to land at least one. I do wonder how much more they would have went for as the key focus of a single auction.

I guess I could start another thread but I thought it was interesting the coverless copy had "Steve" written on the first page, with no notes on the label.

Issue 33 was the highest priced single book, which I expected it to be up there, but had no idea it would hit $8400.  I was in the stands at the UGA game bidding and dug my heals in on the last couple. 27 was one of the ones I had earmarked to go after.

Yeah that bottom edge damage was already there.  I felt that it wasn't as strong of an 8.5 copy compared to typical 8.5's I've seen.

I bid on more than a few and won nothing.  On most I was simply outbid.  On several I would have bid more but my phone failed me.  After the 6 went for several K I couldn't believe the 7 went so cheap and that my screen failed to realize my thumb was pressing the bid button.

Does anyone know if the letter exists in which Steve wrote he was sending the comics to his nephews?

I did not bid on the Slightly Brittle books, I am sure that held it and a few more back.
