Cover I was secretly hoping to win.  No one would be very interested in it so figured $6k-$8k.  Boy was I wrong.

In 2000 or so I tried to win this on ebay at the last second, but I was foiled by a slow internet connection.  Winning bid was $400.

96K with juice for Excalibur #16 cover by Alan Davis and Paul Neary

Wonder how Gary Land is taking it. He cornered the market on Davis Excalibur art and sold that cover not too long ago for 1/10 the hammer. That is crazy price for a DAVis Excalibur.

Excalibur 16 goes for double Dazzler 1?

Great cover, but that's nuts!  Obviously it was a bidding war between two people who really really wanted it!

Great cover

Honestly, that's a stretch to me.   Its a decent cover with a cool homage, but its pretty far short of "great."

Wonder what Excalibur one shot and Excalibur 1 are worth then.    Obvious we can't really project this data point too much, but still.

Mike Dringenberg Sandman #8 page hammered at $90K.  It's sort of what I expected as it's  Not too far off from the selling price of the first appearance of Morpheus. But part of me feels it should have gone higher, above the 100K mark.  Me thinks, these pages are just scratching the surface.
