So this one’s tricky because Warren Kremer did the original layout but Lee Elias did the cover. Either way it’s my favorite piece that Kremer ever thought of and it beats out by a hair Black Cat #50 (a thin one at that) by Elias. But the combo of beauty and horror works again just like it did on Venus #19 oh so well. Simple, elegant and terrifying.

7 pages and not one person has put up a Dan Zolnerowich cover. This makes me sad.

He has many great covers, but I would call this one his masterpiece.

Again, took this one from GCD because it’s better than mine and a masterpiece should be viewed in the best depiction.

That was my thought too!

Perhaps in the Golden Age, but I think his defining work was when he worked for Warren in the 60's/70's.

Did Kane actually draw this amazing cover?

Yes.   He partially swiped an earlier composition of his own.

The lady is the only well drawn part of the cover so that was probably swiped from someone else.
