So logic would tell us an unknown character's first time appearing can not be a cameo.

However, I think there is a more accurate name for a chacter's first time appearing in a comic book....  🤔

There are no rules as to which 1st appearance book (cameo vs full appearance vs cover appearance vs whatever)  becomes the major key that everyone covets.    The market is irrational. 

 

There are tons of old threads in these forums arguing this same issue over and over.

While that is true to some degree, how are you determining which book everyone covets? How many examples can you provide of first brief appearances that are worth more than first full appearances that don't have significant supply differences (either generally or by grade) or misinformation about at least one of the books?

It's taken from Marvel's official website. Stan Lee wrote it on his deathbed for publication in the Overstreet Guide, based on exclusive interviews he conducted with Len Wein and Herb Trimpe. The authenticity of it has been confirmed by Hugh Jackman. The veracity of it affirmed by the Supreme Court. The spelling and grammar of my comment have also been reviewed by the editor of the most recent edition of The Chicago Manual of Style. It astounds me that some collectors come on here like they know it all, but don't know a Key Collector Comics screenshot on sight.
