I could have sworn it was on purpose? As this ovalness is different than the stretch that was apparent...

No, something has happened again. This was fixed but now the avatars are stretched and oval. The generic letter versions are the worst.

I rarely stop by General, but it looks like Darth Vader or some other nefarious villain is fiddling with avatars to the detriment of everyone's carefully chosen images. My avatar managed to escape these evil changes till today. Wondering what's going on since there's been little or no discussion about forum changes in Gold.  Whoever's fiddling with these functions may not be aware that comic folks crave boxes and rectangles, not ovals and circles, ...and rarely get overjoyed with unsolicited changes. Did CGC miss a web design payment or what?  Anyway, just curious, if anyone knows. 

BTW, what's an iPhone? (Just kidding)

While I'm not having near the issues as everyone else, I noticed my avatar looks fine on phone, laptop and tablet, and yet the same photo but uploaded into my signature line is now misuploaded.
