For those who don't recognize it, the listing has all the hallmarks of an account takeover. Dozens of listings of (mostly) high-priced items that are unlike all previous sales, all with an offer to Buy It Now (although not actually a BIN item), al the item details filled with 'ANY'.

That seller doesn't have the book, and any buyer who tries to buy it off-site will 100% lose their money.

I want to know who is bidding on it. Part of the scam driving up the price, or are buyers really that guillible?

IME many Comic and Trading collectors are that gullible. If it was offered as a BIN way below FMV then add dealers into that mix from an angle of greed.

Listing is gone now. I assume enough people reported it to ebay and/or cgc. The shop is still there was some high-priced items FWIW, but no comics

eBay likely (and only) pulled due to image in the auction offering an off-ebay deal.

Federal investigations can take some wild turns. Be careful what you wish for. An FBI Agent and his friends were roughed up at a club in NYC. What started with a lost leather jacket at the coat check ended up with multiple clubs in NYC shut for various reasons, and dozens of people were indicted.
